About Us
Infection Protection was co-founded by Rob Whiteley and Howard Dennerstein in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic emerged. Rob and Howard were early to recognise the need to protect public spaces based on their study of previous epidemics and pandemics, such as SARS. Rob and Howard created Infection Protection as the first company in Australia to use the revolutionary new Clorox Total 360 system, developed in the United States, to kill COVID-19 and 43 other viruses and bacteria on contact.
Protecting Australians from harmful viruses and bacteria is at the heart of what Infection Protection does every day. We want to encourage businesses across Australia, as well as aged care, government and educational facilities, to proactively treat their workplaces where people gather to prevent infection. Infection Protection only uses products registered by Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) ensuring our customers’ safety.

History
Infection Protection was conceptualised by Managing Director Rob Whitely in 2018, following his reviews of SARS, MERS and the increase of influenza outbreaks worldwide. He researched what proactive infection protection protocols might exist for schools, universities, hospitals, aged care facilities, public transport, government departments, offices, and workplaces in Australia.
Rob’s research confirmed that the overall approach to fighting and killing the cold and flu viruses, along with many other viruses and bacteria in workplaces was reactive – not proactive. Australian workplaces and their employees were largely unprepared to manage a severe outbreak of virus or bacteria.
With 25 years’ experience in commercial cleaning, Rob coupled this understanding with detailed research, to find that the common approach to dealing with these contagions in the workplace was to manage the situation reactively, rather than proactively mitigating the risk of an outbreak. Deeply concerned by his findings, he began to research effective alternatives so that Australian workplaces and health facilities had the opportunity to be better prepared for an outbreak; and their employees, clients and patients were better protected.
Co-founder Howard Dennerstein (CPA) joined Rob to progress the business at this point, and they assessed what options were available worldwide to enable businesses and governments to proactively prevent future outbreaks.
Fortunately, Clorox was planning to introduce the revolutionary Clorox Total 360 system into the Australian market and that led Infection Protection to be the first and only company at the time in Australia to offer the Clorox Total 360 System.
The Clorox Total 360 product is now Australian TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) registered, with approval for Clorox Total 360 to add “Kills Coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19)” to its label. Clorox Total 360 is also listed on the American Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) current 100 products that meet the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the cause of COVID-19.
After two years in the market and following customer feedback Infection Protection decided to introduce an additional solution that is not only a TGA approved hospital grade disinfectant but it is delivered using Cordless Electrostatic Machines which are more cost effective than our larger solution. We pair the Oxivir TB disinfectant with the Victory Cordless Electrostatic Machines.
